CR7 Lisbon – the second Cristiano Ronaldo hotel opens in the Portuguese capital
As of early October, a new accommodation solution is available in the most central and very prestigious location in Lisbon.
In a historical building overlooking the iconic Praça do Comércio square, in Lisbon’s Old Quarter, the second hotel inspired by one of world’s most famous soccer players, Cristiano Ronaldo, opened its door to visitors.

The CR7 Lisbon hotel is the fruit of co-operation between Ronaldo and the largest Portuguese hotel operator group Pestana Hotels and Resorts.
The 5-star hotel is inspired, in the smallest detail, by the career of the Portuguese soccer player. The design and decoration of every part of the hotel, from the lobby, through the rooms, to the roof deck bar and leisure area are a reference to Ronaldo and soccer, in general.
Already in the lobby, a foosball table awaits the visitors; the movement detectors on the staircase activate a recording from a stadium with crowds chanting the footballers name and in every of the 82 rooms, Ronaldo’s cleats prints are woven into the custom made carpets.
If that was a too subtle reference, the CR7 sunglasses on a giant photo of the Portuguese national hero’s face serve as a frame for mirrors in the restroom.
Even the „tiniest” details of the hotel’s decoration are inspired by CR7.
The hotel comprises 82 rooms, from standard CR Room, through CR Superior Room and CR Superior Rooftop, to the luxury CR7 Suite.
The prices start from around 200 euros and go up to a 1000 euros per night. In the first phase after opening, however, promotional rates were made available.

All the rooms are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, Apple TV as well as Bluetooth and HDMI connections.
LED lighting in the showers adds to the modern design and comfort.
The guests of the CR7 Suite have at their disposal a Playstation console and the virtual reality glasses.
In the CR7 Corner Bar & Bistro, traditional dishes of the Portuguese cuisine have been reinvented by the Chef Rui Martins. The rooftop bar offers spectacular views of Lisbon’s old quarters and River Tagus.
Pestana CR7 Lifestylel Hotels
CR7 Lisbon is the second one of the planned chain of CR7 Lifestyle Hotels chain. The first one was inaugurated in July 2016 in Funchal, the capital of the Portuguese Madera island where Cristiano Ronaldo was born.
Ronaldo is Madeira’s beloved son and has an army of cult-like followers across the Island. Just to say that by the end of 2016, Madeira Airport will be renamed to honour the footballer.
In Funchal you can also visit a museum dedicated to Cristiano Ronaldo; not many famous personalities live to see a similar recognition of their achievements.
Current plans for CR7 Lifestyle Hotels include, besides the Funchal and Lisbon ones, two other, extremely prestigious locations to be inaugurated in the nearest future: CR7 Madrid, situated in the very heart of the Spanish capital, along Gran Via and CR7 New York, located not far from Times Square.
